San Antonio, home of the buy-one-get-one-free drink offer and hen/stag parties is the liveliest Ibiza resort, with a myriad of bars and clubs twisting along the main streets, bustling every night from 7:00 – the early hours of the morning.
2 big clubs have a huge presence in San Antonio, they are the notorious Eden Ibiza and Es Paradis Ibiza, both holding nightly events with some of the biggest names in dance, commercial and RnB music. Pre-parties are usually bustling in the local bars before this – such as Linekers Ibiza and the new for 2011, Hed Kandi bar.
A new venture, Ocean Club Ibiza is set to open for the 2012 season, this venue promises the return of open-air clubbing to San Antonio, building on the incredible success that Ushuaia and Ibiza Rocks have experienced over the past few seasons. It’s exciting to see San Antonio getting the regeneration this time as Playa D’en Bossa has been lucky enough to get it recently.
San Antonio also has the famous sunset strip on it’s outskirts, with Mambos, Savannahs, and of course Cafe Del Mar perched on the edge of the sea with uninterrupted views to the amazing Ibiza Sunset, chill out music in abundance and some of the nicest, if slightly dear cocktails on the island. The 3 sunset bars also hold many pre-parties for the bigger clubs such as Pacha, so big name DJs are a regular appearance in the summer.
Apart from drink deals, there are plenty of amazing food establishments scattered around the resort, in amongst the usual late-night-food joints.
The beach isn’t as big as Playa D’en Bossa’s offering but still a great beach and very popular in the summer months, San Antonio offers plenty of water sports, including banana boats, jet skis, paragliding and a handful of sunset boat parties! There’s also Go-karting, for those of us without our sea-legs.
